I’ve heard that a hearing aid does help, but you still can’t hear well in a crowded room with lots of talking and music playing. And what about tv or movie watching? Can you really hear it better? This is for my elderly mother who is considering getting one. What do you think?

well tbh whoever you are, your clearly not an audiologist cause it was the same tests you get usually and thats only two so your clearly making that stuff up.

My hearing aids take a size 312 battery. So far I’ve tried Duracell, Energizer and CVS brand batteries. The Duracell and Energizers are just about neck-and-neck in terms of how long they last (approx. 7-8 days). The CVS batteries aren’t very good though (6-7 days).

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Was it difficult to get used to at first? Have you ever been made fun of for wearing one (or two)? Do you still have problems hearing even with your hearing aid? What is it like in noisy situations? How do you care for it (like cleaning)?

These hearing aids are like open hearing aids except the thin skin colored wire goes inside you ear and there isn’t a bobble earring like thing at the end. IT was on an infomercial and they offered a free hearing test. The hearing aid was only a thin skin colored wire that went behind your ear and went inside your ear canal.
